Prevent the Release of Microplastics

Instructions for Use and Disposal

This product contains synthetic polymer particles in granule form prior to processing.
In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2023/2055 (REACH Annex XVII, Entry 78), instructions are provided to prevent the unintended release of polymer particles into the environment during storage, handling, and disposal.

1. Intended Use

The granules are designed exclusively for industrial or professional processing in melting equipment.
During the intended end use:

  • The granules lose their particulate form through melting.
  • The polymer is permanently integrated into a solid matrix after cooling.

The product must only be used as intended.

2. Prevention of Environmental Release

To avoid unintended release of polymer particles:

  • Do not discharge granules into drains, sewage systems, or water bodies.
  • Prevent loss during transport, storage, and handling.
  • Keep containers properly closed when not in use.
  • Handle material in controlled work areas.

3. Spill Management

In case of accidental spillage:

  • Collect material mechanically (e.g., sweeping or vacuuming).
  • Do not wash granules into drains.
  • Dispose of contaminated material in accordance with local regulations.

4. Disposal

Unused material and waste must be disposed of in accordance with applicable local, national, and regional waste legislation.
Do not dispose of granules into the environment.

5. Regulatory Information

This product is supplied under the exemption provided in Entry 78(5)(b) and/or 78(5)(c) of Annex XVII to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (REACH), as amended by Regulation (EU) 2023/2055.
The exemption applies because:

  • The physical properties of the particles are permanently changed during the intended end use, and/or
  • The polymer is permanently incorporated into a solid matrix during end use.
