The beginnings of EVA hot-melt adhesives<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first thermoplastic hot-melt adhesives entered the market in the 1960s. The rapid development of production processes required the creation of new adhesives.  Here, the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers have proven themselves as a raw material for EVA hot-melt adhesives. Through clever formulation of the base polymer from ethylene and vinyl acetate, inexpensive adhesives<\/strong> could be produced.  Continuous improvement of the recipes increased both the adhesion and the cohesive properties of these adhesives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The durability of EVA hot-melt adhesives<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although change was predicted with the advent of mPO-based adhesives, EVA hot-melt adhesives have held their own. Even after two decades, they are still in use, while mPO-based adhesives have only partially replaced them.
