Tips and tricks for cleaning application nozzles
Cleaner technology – cleaner application
If the nozzles on the application head are dirty, it will be difficult to achieve a clean application pattern. Our service technicians have a workshop tip for you here:
Cleaning nozzles using a small gas burner and compressed air. The high temperature causes the old hot-melt adhesive to dissolve.
IMPORTANT: Protect yourself when cleaning with suitable working and protective clothing.
Required tools:
- Lighter
- Pipe wrench
- Compressed air
- Blow-out gun
- Small gas burner
If there is stubborn dirt on the application nozzles, we also recommend a nozzle cleaning set. Select the appropriate needle size from the set. Use the needle to carefully penetrate the nozzle opening several times and remove the dirt. The old hot-melt adhesive can only be removed in this way when it is warmed up.
