2 seconds air + 1x spray + 2 seconds air

Umgebauter AuftragskopfThis could be how your formula for clean spray application looks. In normal cases, the applicator head is permanently fed with air. In the standard version of the applicator head, the air line runs from the solenoid valve pipe to the spraying air choke at the applicator head.

If a particularly precise spraying pattern is required, for example during an interrupted spray application, we recommend fitting a separate spraying air system with solenoid valve which can switch the compressed air separately. This means that the air hose can be connected directly to the spraying air choke. The air infeed to the solenoid valve pipe is closed off using a dummy plug. This conversion can be carried out by yourself at your works.

Now the application of compressed air can be set up with precision. A typical switching sequence can look like this:

  • 2 seconds air
  • Spray application of adhesive with air
  • Switch off adhesive – clean tearing of adhesive filaments
  • Switch on 2 seconds of air – nozzle is blown free, remains clean

Continuous air can result in slight temperature fluctuations at the applicator head. These deviations are eliminated by this rerouting procedure.

PS: Heat levels can be perfectly set through the use of a sprayed air pre-heating module.
