Pressure-Sensitive Hot Melt Adhesives
Pressure-sensitive hot melt adhesives are thermoplastic rubber-based adhesives. They are characterised by the fact that they do not fully set, instead remaining permanently sticky. This allows for an excellent adhesive bond even when the glue is cold. In this case, the required contact pressure is the key to creating a sufficient coat between the contact adhesive and the joined part, which is why this group of adhesives is also referred to as “PSA – pressure-sensitive adhesives”.
With pressure-sensitive adhesives, a distinction is also made between permanently tacky and removable types that have a low adhesion.
