Adhesives in the Mattress Industry
The hot melt adhesives B 2635 and B 1596 are two specialists in our product range that are particularly suited to the demands of mattress manufacturing. Both hot melts are perfectly adapted to the requirements for use in bonding foam material for mattresses and upholstery. B 2635 is available both as granulate and in pillows and is known for its very reasonable price. B 1596 is designed primarily for large-area bonding and additionally available as blockware or meltpack.
Both polyolefin-based hot melt adhesives are solvent-free and have a comparatively short curing time, making for efficient production with rapid further processing. Our B 1596 even has the eco-passport, which allows it to be used in textile manufacturing in accordance with the OEKO-TEX® Standard 100. What is special about both hot melt adhesive types is that, in their cured state, they are both soft to the touch and are not experienced as a source of irritation within the mattress.
Hot melt adhesives A 1947 und A 2380 are used in manufacturing innerspring pockets. Both EVA based adhesives are especially low-odour, and are available in both granulate and pillow form. Moreover, the A 2380 is characterised by its short curing time.
For the end consumer, this means safe dreaming on your mattresses.
Depending on the requirements of your production, the hot melt adhesives can be applied with either pneumatic glue guns such as the HB 710, or with hot melt adhesive tank installations. The adhesive can be applied in either spray or bead form.
The hot melt adhesive tank installation HB 5010 is, for example, very well suited to large-area bonding in conjunction with hand-held devices of the HB 910 Spray type.
The HB 5010 has many advantages in terms of its equipment:
- Available as bead or spray version
- Intuitive user guidance with integrated timer
